Hidden in the shadows beneath the sprawling almond trees, nefarious creatures lay in wait, surrounded by the gentle rustle of leaves and the sweet scent of blooming flowers.

They are the Jumbees — the evil spirits or demons who anticipate the arrival of little children, whose laughter and energy fill the air with excitement.

These creatures aim to exploit vulnerabilities and those who are unsuspecting or defenseless.

The joyful kids had been warned repeatedly by their caring parents, though the seriousness of the warning hung back like clownish shadows over their heads.

Though the air was thick with unspoken truths, and they heard the foreboding whispers, reminding them of the peril ahead, their cheerful nature redirected them to ignore the signs of danger.

Children, please stay away from the almond trees.

As the sun flees beyond the horizon and shadows stretch across the land, a sheath of darkness descends upon the world.

The once vibrant colors of nature fade into muted shades, and a foreboding stillness blankets the air, leaving a suffocating heaviness that lingers in the atmosphere.
